• Good burst and acceleration
• Has been clocked at a verified playing speed of 21.8 MPH (against Florida 2023)
• Tremendous athlete who has ability to pick up chunks of yardage on ground
• Comfortable and poised in the pocket
• Good ball placement
• Excellent touch
• Good downfield accuracy , leading the FBS in completions of 20+ yards (2023)
• Poised in the face of the blitz and often anticipates it coming
• Throws with adequate accuracy on the move
• Consistently moves the chains and converts in critical situations
• Tends to hold onto the ball a bit too long at times
• Frame is a little more slender than teams typically like
• Needs to protect himself better from hits when scrambling
• Long-term durability could become a concern without continued strength and weight gains
The first player EVER with 350+ pass yards and 200+ rush yards in an FBS game. Has shown signs of gradual improvement from year to year, indicating a willing learner who can be easily developed at the Pro level. Needs to add more muscle to his frame to be able to absorb hits and tackles when he scrambles. We have him ranked as the QB2 in a strong 2024 Class. Projects to be a Year 1 starter with the potential to ignite a Franchise from day 1.
