The NFC North stands as one of the most intrinsic to the history of the sport.

No rivalry in the NFL competes with the Green Bay Packers vs Chicago Bears. Given the history and age of both teams, no divisional game in the league wets the appetite quite like when these two meet.

The Minnesota Vikings Skol chant and overall US Bank Stadium chant continues to be one of the best atmospheres that any NFL fan can be offered. Meanwhile, the Detroit Lions have boasted the likes of Barry Sanders and Calvin Johnson. They currently have one of the best wide receivers out there in Amon-Ra St. Brown and running back Jahmyr Gibbs, the latter of who is the most common player taken first overall in fantasy drafts.

This is a division full of history. Whether this is Lambeau Field, Soldier Field, US Bank or Ford Field, these are four iconic arenas that scream NFL history.

In a division full of great players, how do their quarterbacks rank?

Here is a ranking of all four starting quarterbacks in the division, from fourth to first.

There is a chance that Kyler Murray could have a resurgence in the NFL with the Vikings. He wouldn’t be the first quarterback to do so under head coach Kevin O’Connell.

The most recent example is Sam Darnold, who went on to become a Super Bowl champion with the Seattle Seahawks.

Murray could be the next. After all, he will be going to a team with better coaching, better weapons and a better defence. He may have struggled with consistency or to stay healthy, but he has shown at times exactly why he was drafted first overall by the Arizona Cardinals in 2019.

Despite this, he has not shown enough to be higher than fourth.

It was a difficult end to the season for the Packers, losing to the Bears in heartbreaking fashion during the Wildcard Round.

Jordan Love will want to help the team recover from this disappointment. He was the heir to the Aaron Rodgers throne, but he has yet to truly convince fans that he can have a career similar to his previous two predecessors in Rodgers and Brett Favre.

Along with 23 passing touchdowns, Love recorded just six interceptions in 2025, the best total of his career. However, sometimes his play feels a bit vanilla. He will always have Rodgers and Favre’s name surrounding him, given the franchise’s consistency in finding good quarterbacks. He has yet to convince he can ever repeat his previous playoff heroics from the 2023 season.

The story of Jared Goff at the Lions is a brilliant one, going from a perceived makeweight in the Matthew Stafford trade back in 2021, to becoming the franchise quarterback in Detroit.

They managed to surprise everyone in 2023, two years after a 3-13-1 record, by reaching the NFC Championship. They allowed the San Francisco 49ers to stage a double-digit comeback win, and this is a result that the franchise does not seem to have recovered from. A 15-2 record the following season could not be followed up with the playoff win as the number one seed. In 2025, they missed out on the playoffs altogether, finishing bottom in the division.

Despite the team’s lack of success on the field in 2025, Goff continued to excel statistically. He had his third single digit interception season in the past five campaigns, with eight. He also recorded his second highest touchdown total of his career, with 34.

There is an argument that Goff has never been the guy to put the team on his back and take them to a Super Bowl, despite reaching one whilst with the Los Angeles Rams. Despite this, he has done more than enough to be second on this list. When he gets into his rhythm, there are not many better than him in the pocket.

2025 was a breakout season for Caleb Williams.

He showed the league exactly why he had so much college hype, after what was a mixed rookie season in 2024.

Time after time, Williams put the team on his back in the fourth quarter and guided them to victory.

Nothing showed this more than the two victories against the Packers in Soldier Field.

Whilst Williams and the Bears may have lost in the Divisional Round to the Rams, his pass to Cole Kmet was one of the best across the league last season. Everything that he has done on the football field should be loved by every NFL fan.

He has shown he can find his man from any angle or distance, that he can extend plays with his legs and is ice cool in the biggest and most pressured moments.

Whilst the late comeback wins are not sustainable long-term, something Williams will have to work on, he is a future star in this league.
