CHICAGO BEARS PLAYER JOSH BLACKWELL AND LEGEND CHARLES ‘PEANUT’ TILLMAN ALONG WITH LIVERPOOL FC LEGEND HEADLINE FAN EVENT AT ROYAL ALBERT DOCK

Family-friendly activities will take place at Anchor Courtyard on Sunday 21 June

The event forms part of a three-day Liverpool programme, including Bears Flag clinics designed to introduce more young people to American football.

LIVERPOOL, 19 June 2026 – The Chicago Bears, one of the NFL's most iconic and historic franchises, will bring together legends from American football and football for a special fan event at Liverpool's Royal Albert Dock on Sunday 21 June, marking the organisation's fifth consecutive year of community activity in the United Kingdom.

Taking place at Anchor Courtyard from 11am to 6pm, the free event will give visitors the chance to meet current Chicago Bears cornerback Josh Blackwell, Bears legend Charles "Peanut" Tillman and beloved mascot Staley Da Bear. A Liverpool FC legend and club mascot Mighty Red will also make appearances during the day.

Alongside the star appearances, attendees can enjoy photo opportunities, giveaways and a range of family-friendly activities, creating a unique celebration of two of sport's most recognisable teams in one of Liverpool's most iconic waterfront locations.

Following the fan event, the Chicago Bears will continue their work in Liverpool through a series of Bears Flag clinics on Monday 22 June and Tuesday 23 June, introducing young people to flag football, the non-contact format of the game. This is part of the Bears’ commitment to make the sport more accessible, inclusive and engaging for young people.

The events across Liverpool follow visits to the Midlands, London, Manchester and Loughborough this month. This is the fifth year that the Chicago Bears have visited the UK demonstrating their ongoing commitment to growing American football across the UK through the NFL's Global Markets Program.
